Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Bull Shoals 09/12/04 :

Dam area to Lead Hill: Not allot of changes in the past week, Sammy or spooks early on points. As the day progresses you can catch fish on both a drop shot rig and a Jewel spider jig. For the drop shot fish a 3"-4" finesse worm on bluff ends and main lake channel swing banks from 30' - 65' deep. For the spider jig fish a 5/16 oz. Jewel spider jig in green pumpkin / green flash with a green pumpkin twin tailed grub on long gravel points. Fish the bait on the deeper edge of these points from 10' - 30' deep.

Lead Hill to Power site: Eakins' jigs on bluff ends and channel swing banks as well as around boat docks with brush. Best colors are MIssouri craw and brown both with a green pumpkin Eakins' craw as a trailer. If the wind comes up it is worth your time to throw a wiggle wart in brown craw on chunk rock points, run the bait parallel to the bank in about 6'-8' of water. In the backs of the major creek arms there is a spinnerbait bite when shad are present.
