Dam area to Lead Hill: If it is a calm day
Jewel spider jig in green pumpkin / green flash with a green pumpkin twin
tailed grub on long gravel points is still your best bet. If it is windy fish
windblown gravel points and flats with a spinnerbait or rattle trap, the presence
of shad will help the bite. A drop shot rig or spoon over deep water in and
around schools of shad is taking a few fish but with shad on the move this
bite will go away soon.
Lead Hill to Power site: If it is windy throw
a white / chartreuse spinner bait on windward pea gravel flats, look for any
laydowns or wood in the water and concentrate on it. If it is not windy, fish
a Jewel 5/8 oz. football jig in PB&J with a cinnamon purple twin tailed
grub for a trailer on the same points and flats. Move the boat out to about
20'-25' of water and slowly drag the bait back to the boat. another option
is to fish an Eakins' jig in missouri craw with an Eakins' craw in green pumpkin
around boat docks.
