Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Bull Shoals 10/23/04 :

Dam area to Lead Hill: Best bait right now is a Jewel 5/8 oz. football jig or 5/16 oz. spider jig in PBJ with a cinnamon purple trailer fished around pea gravel points and flats from about 6' deep to 35' deep depending on the time of day and if there is any wind, key on any wood or rock cover you come across. If it is really windy there is a spinnerbait bite on these same flats and points from 6" to 6' deep whenever shad are present.

Lead Hill to Power site: If shad are present in the backs of the creeks there is a pretty good spinnerbait and shallow crank bait bite in and around wood cover. An Eakins' jig and Craw fished around boat docks is an alternative, pitch the jig all the way to the walk way and fish the back side of the dock to be successful. Best color is brown or Missouri Craw with a green pumpkin craw for a trailer.
