Lake - Bull Shoals 11/08/04 :
Dam area to Lead Hill: When the wind is blowing you can catch
several fish shallow on windy points and flats on a Jewel Lavender Shad or
Rush Keel Tandem spinnerbait in white with double willow blades. Key on flat
banks and points with rocky bottoms any wood cover is a big plus and will
tend to hold more fish. If the wind is not blowing move out deeper in to about
30' of water on these same points and flats and make long casts with a Jewel
5/8 oz. football jig in PB&J with a twin tailed green pumpkin grub for
a trailer. Drag the bait all the way back to the boat and make multiple casts
to any rock or brush piles you find, they will hold most of the fish in these
areas.
Lead Hill to Power site: Possibly the best bite on the lake
right now is the in the backs of creeks in the upper areas of the lake. Shad
have moved back and some good sized fish have followed and can be caught early
and late on Jewel Rush Keel Tandem spinnerbaits in white and white and chartreuse
with double willow blades. Throw the bait in and around any cover you see
shad around and burn it about 1' - 2' under the surface. There is also a decent
jig bite in and around docks with brush as the day progresses, pitch an Eakins'
Jig in Missouri craw up under the docks and work slowly back to the boat.
