Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Bull Shoals 12/27/04 :

Dam area to Lead Hill: 3/4 oz. white and chrome spoons and drop shot finesse worms fished on main lake channel swing banks, bluff ends and on the edge of deep flats is still your best bet. Find the shad to be successful, most of the bait seems to be suspending in 35' - 85' of water. Bluff ends and deep points fished with Jewel 5/16oz. and 7/16oz Spider jigs in both PB&J and green pumpkin / green flash with a twin tailed grub for a trailer has resulted in a few smallmouth as well as the occasional walleye.

Lead Hill to Power site: Lucky Craft Pointers both 100 and 78 sizes fished on deep points and channel swings is resulting in quite a few fish, best colors are chartreuse shad and aurora black, key on larger boulders and laydowns. These same points and swings can be fished with a Jewel spider jig in brown or Missouri craw with a twin tailed grub if the wind isn't blowing. Work the bait from the bank all the way back to 20' of water until you find the depth that is holding most of the fish.
