Lake - Pomme De Terre 09/05/04 :

Your best bets on Pomme right now are a shallow running crankbait, Balsa B or Bandit 100, fished around wood cover about midway back in the bigger creek arms and pockets. Brighter colors like firetiger and chartreuse / black back seem to be best. An Eakins' jig and twin tailed grub fished on bluff ends and deep main lake channel swings is another good pattern. Fish the bait from the bank back to about 20' deep to be effective. Best colors are brown and Missouri craw both with a green pumpkin trailer.

Crappie fishing has gotten tougher with most fish coming on live minnows over wood 10' - 25' deep.
