Lake - Pomme De Terre 09/25/04 :

There are a variety of patterns working on Pomme right now, early in the day fish the backs of the creeks with a rattle trap or spinnerbait, as the sun comes up key on shady areas around wood cover with a Bagley's square bill or spinnerbait. The key is to fish your bait as close to the cover as possible, keep the lure in the shade to be successful. If there is little or no wind fish a Jewel spider jig around brush piles on secondary points and boat docks.

Most of the crappie are being caught on minnows but there are a few being caught on tube jigs with the bulk of the fish coming out of 15' - 20' of water around standing timber.
