Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 10/09/04 :

The most consistent bite has been an Eakins' jig and craw on some of the steeper banks on the main lake, brown / purple flash with a green pumpkin craw is your best color combination. If it is windy fish the windblown pea gravel points and flats with a white / chartreuse double willow spinner bait from 1' - 8' deep, keep the bait about 1' below the surface during the retrieve. If there is wood present fish it carefully. Up the river you can catch a few on an 8" power worm in blue fleck around stumps and standing timber or switch to an Eakins' flippin jig in Texas craw with a green pumpkin Eakins' craw for a trailer.

Crappie are being caught on minnows or tube jigs in 15' - 20' of water around standing timber.
