:
The cooler weather has the fish in a bit of a transition, there
are some smaller fish that have moved to the backs of creeks and pockets and
are chasing shad while the bigger fish have moved up on points and are holding
pretty tight to any brush or wood cover they find. If you want to catch numbers
of fish head to the backs of the coves and throw a spinnerbait or shallow
running crankbait through the shad, if you are looking for better quality
fish move out to points and fish any wood cover on or around the point with
an Eakins' jig or Jewel 5/8 oz. football jig both with a twin tailed grub
trailer.
Crappie are moving a little shallower with most of the fish
coming off of wood cover in 10'-15' on minnows and swimmin' minnows.
