Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 11/03/04 :

The warmer weather has pushed some of the shad and most of the fish back off of the banks some what, you can still catch several fish on windy banks and points with a bandit 100 or spinnerbait but if the wind is not blowing you are better off fishing main lake points with brush on them with an Eakins' Jig in brown / purple flash with a twin tailed grub trailer. Up the river the is better on a Jewel Rush Keel Tandem spinnerbait and Rampage Keel Banger buzz bait on stumpy flats with shad on them, you will catch quite a few short fish between keepers but it keeps your attention. In and around the log jams you can catch quite a few fish on an Eakins' flippin' jig in black / blue flash with a Zoom super chunk jr. in flippin' blue for a trailer, pitch the bait deep into the log jam to be successful.

Crappie continues to improve on brush and around docks with brush, fish live minnows and tube jigs in 15' - 25' of water.
