Lake - Pomme De Terre 11/13/04
:
The best bite is on a Bandit 100 or 200 in a shad pattern or
a Jewel Rush Keel Tandem spinnerbait fished in the backs of creeks or large
pockets that are full of shad. Fish the edges of the schools to be successful.
Up the river there are two different patterns to fish; the first is a rattle
trap or Bandit 100 on the stump flats around schools of shad, the second is
to flip an Eakins' Flippin' jig in black / blue flash with a zoom flippin'
blue chunk into the nooks and crannies of the log jams on the islands and
channel swing banks. A Jewel Rampage Keel Banger buzz bait is also effective
on the stump flats when the surface is calm.
Crappie continues is good on brush and other wood cover in 15'
- 25' of water on tube jigs, road runners, swimmin' minnows and live minnows.
