Most of the fish are still being caught on crankbaits but it is still pretty hit or miss, look for shad to be successful, any cove you find shad in you will find the fish. The best crank baits are a bandit 100 series in a shad pattern or a Norman Deep baby N in blue back. A few fish are being caught up the river on Jewel Rampage Keel Banger buzz baits or Rush Keel Tandem spinnerbaits either one in white or white / chartreuse. Just like on the main lake there needs to be shad present to be successful. There are some bigger fish being caught on Eakins' flippin' jigs in the log jams way up the river, try black / blue flash with a zoom super chunk jr in flippin' blue for a trailer.

Crappie is good on brush and other wood cover in 15' - 25' of water on tube jigs, road runners, swimmin' minnows and live minnows.
