Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 12/06/04 :

Pretty simple on Pomme right now, the water is up about five feet and the fish are in the bushes, pitch an Eakins' jig in Missouri Craw with a green pumpkin trailer in the bushes and you should catch fish as long as they are holding the water where it is. Check the lake level before you go and see if they have started dropping it, if so back out a little and fish the same jig on the "old" bank line, the fish will move to it once the lake level begins to drop. If you have a little wind you can also catch a few fish on a spinnerbait around the bushes as well, cast parallel to a row of bushes and run the bait as close to them as possible.

Crappie fishing has gotten a little tough, best bet is live minnows or tubes in wood cover 15' - 25' deep, the clearer water closer to the dam is more productive.
