Lake - Stockton 12/03/04 :
Main Lake: A phantom green or natural brown wiggle wart on windy
chunk rock points and 45 degree banks is still your best bet right now. An
Eakins' jig in brown / black with a green pumpkin Eakins' craw for a trailer
fished on channel swing banks is the best back up pattern. Key into the areas
where the channel makes initial contact with the bank and on any wood cover
along the channel swing bank.
Above the bridges: The shock from all of the cold rain and run
off is about over and the fishing is beginning to stabilize. A Jewel Rush
Keel Tandem spinnerbait in white / chartreuse fished on windy flat banks where
there is wood cover and some willows in the water. An Eakins' Flippin' jig
in black / blue flash and a Zoom super chunk jr. in flippin' blue fished in
the flooded brush will produce if the wind is not blowing.
Crappie fishing has been tough with all the new water, fish
wood cover with jigs, small grubs and live minnows in 15' - 25' of water.
Walleye fishing is hit or miss, some are catching fish others
are struggling, the best bite continues to be a crankbait on windy secondary
points.
White bass fishing is pretty good fish windy pea gravel with
rooster tails and grubs.
