Lake - Stockton 12/09/04 :
Main Lake: A wiggle wart in brown craw or natural brown fished
on chunk rock banks and points is very effective on windy days, hold your
boat in 10' - 15' of water and parallel the bank in about 6' to be successful.
If there is no wind blowing fish channel swing banks and deep points with
an Eakins' jig in brown / purple flash, let the water color dictate your trailer;
use a twin tailed grub if the water is murky and an Eakins' craw if it is
clear.
Above the bridges: The fishing stabilized allot in the past
week, the water is still high and fish can be caught out of the bushes on
an Eakins' Flippin' jig in black / blue flash, match the jig with a blue chunk
or twin tailed grub and concentrate on any shade the bush may offer. If the
wind is blowing fish the flooded brush with a Jewel Rush Keel Tandem spinnerbait
in white & chartreuse whit two willow leaf blades, parallel the bushes
with the spinnerbait keeping it as close to the bushes as possible.
Crappie fishing is a day by day deal, some days it's great others
it is a waste of time, sunny days seem best, fish wood cover in 15' -25' with
swimmin' minnows and live minnows.
Walleye fishing has improved a little, key on windy points and
pockets with a mid depth running crankbait.
White bass fishing is still good, fish windy points with rooster
tails, small crankbaits and single tailed grubs.
