Lake - Table Rock 11/08/04 :
Kimberling City Area: The warmer weather has got both the fish
and the fisherman confused, just when the water and air temperature were starting
to feel like fall we get a few days in the 70's. Anyway the most consistent
bite is an Eakins Jig in PB&J or Brown / Purple Flash with a green pumpkin
Eakins' Craw as a trailer fished around boat docks and in brush. Concentrate
on docks on steeper rocky banks as opposed to pea gravel.
James River: The fish seem to be waiting for the water to cool
and stay cool before they move up like around Kimberling City. Fish shallow
on either a Jewel spinnerbait or wiggle wart on windy points. Fish docks on
steeper rocky banks and channel swings with an Eakins' jig in Missouri Craw
with either an Eakins' craw trailer or Zoom Fat Albert twin tail in green
pumpkin. Don't neglect the back side of the dock and the walk way area it
can hold the biggest fish this time of year.
White River: If you have some wind you can catch fish on flats
and shallow rocky points with a Jewel Lavender Shad spinnerbait or a wiggle
wart. Fish tight to any wood cover to be successful. If the wind isn't blowing
fish docks with an Eakins' jig in PB&J with a green pumpkin Eakins' craw
or fish the same bait on bluff ends and deep channel swing banks.
Dam Area: Just like the rest of the lake wind is the key for
fishing any fast moving bait, even just a little wind will make a huge difference
on where the shad and fish will be, when the wind is blowing throw a white
or silver shad Jewel Rush Keel Tandem spinnerbait on points and rocky flats
from 1' to 6' deep. If the wind isn't blowing drag a Jewel 5/16oz. spider
jig in Brown / Purple Flash with a green pumpkin twin tail grub trailer on
rocky secondary points from 8' to 20' deep.
