Lake - Table Rock 11/28/04 :
Kimberling City Area: All of the wind has moved some better
fish up on to some of the flatter points and banks on the main lake and in
the major creek arms try Jewel Lavender shad spinnerbaits or Bandit 100 series
crankbaits on these banks if the wind is howling. If it is just a ripple back
off and a Jewel Football jig in PB&J with a cinnamon purple twin tail
trailer in 10' - 25' of water. There are a few fish being caught on an Eakins'
jig in and around boat docks as well, a brown purple flash jig with a green
pumpkin craw fished from 3'- 12' deep on docks with brush will produce a few
keepers each day.
James River : The recent rains has added allot of color to the
James river arm and the fish have moved shallower here than in other areas
of the lake. On windy flats fish a Jewel Rush Keel Tandem spinner bait in
white with double willow leaf blades around any wood cover in the water. On
steeper windy banks fish a brown craw wiggle wart from 6' - 12' deep around
rock piles and standing timber. If the wind isn't blowing fish the same steeper
banks with a Jewel Eakins' Flippin' jig in black/blue flash with blue twin
tailed grub for a trailer around any wood or rock cover.
White River: The white river has been a little tougher than
the rest of the lake this past week, I'm not sure why but the fish have not
been as aggressive here, there doesn't seem as much current here as else where
so that may the reason. Anyway, best fish have come on a Jewel football jig
in brown / purple flash fished on main lake pea gravel and transition points
from 8' - 30' deep. Fish the jig slowly and concentrate on areas where there
are rock piles or the bottom changes from rock to gravel.
Dam Area: It seems like the deep bite could start any day in
the dam area but the amount of water they are running through the dam keep
the shad form balling up and the bite never gets started. With that in mind
a Jewel football jig in PB&J fished on pea gravel points and flats is
your most consistent pattern, fish from 15' -35' deep. If the wind is blowing
you can catch a few fish up shallow on these same banks with a Jewel Lavender
shad spinnerbait fished around rock piles and any wood cover.
