Lake - Table Rock 12/06/04 :
Kimberling City Area: Anglers that fished this area during the
Central Pro Am this weekend reported two distinct patterns; Eakins' jigs in
PB&J with a green pumpkin craw fished in the shadows of docks have been
producing fish, the second pattern was on Sunday with all of the wind and
cloud cover a few fish were being caught on white Jewel Rush Tandem spinnerbaits
in white or white and chartreuse. The deep bite has started but has not gotten
really good yet, try finesse worms on bluff ends and in deep trees, you will
need to work the fish in order to get them to bite.
James River : The Central Pro Am was won in this area of the
lake, the winning and second place stringers were caught on jigs including
a Jewel 5/8 oz. football jig in brown / purple flash fished on transition
channel swing banks in 8' - 15' of water. They reported that most of the hits
came as the jig was falling off a ledges. Several other anglers reported catching
fish on white and chartreuse Jewel Rush Tandem spinner baits on windy points
and around flooded brush.
White River: The White and Kings river areas have significant
water color from both run off and turn over. A few fish are being caught on
brightly colored wiggle warts such as any of the chartreuse series of colors
or chartreuse. and white Jewel Rush Tandem spinnerbaits. In addition a few
fish have been caught out of the flooded brush o Eakins' Flippin jigs in both
black / blue flash and brown either one tipped with an Eakins' craw.
Dam Area: A couple of patterns have emerged in the dam area
over the weekend as well; the first is an Eakins' jig in PB&J with a green
pumpkin Eakins' craw trailer fished in the shadow of boat docks , the second
pattern was a deep bite with a spoon or drop shot fished over main lake trees
in 40' - 80' of water. Good electronics are the key to second pattern
