Best fly patterns for the week: The corp of engineers is running water pretty much non stop so fly fishing is tough. Try egg patterns, woolly buggers and scuds on sink tip line and add a few split shot to get your bait down to the fish.

Best spinning tackle: When it is tough on the fly fisherman, the spinning rod fisherman thrive. Gold super dupers, mepps spinners, rooster tails are all good, small rapalas, live night crawlers and yellow or orange power bait are all effective
