Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Bull Shoals 02/06/05:

Dam area to Lead Hill: There is still a deep bite going on but you will have to follow the shad to find the fish. Fish are scattered and can be hard to find on your graph but find the shad and you should find the fish. Once located a white spoon, drop shotted finesse worm or a paddle tail grub will be your best bait, drop it down to through the bait and work the area thoroughly. In addition a Lucky Craft Pointer 78 in aurora black fish around deep points and bluff ends will also produce a few fish.

Lead Hill to Power site: Still allot of current up the river, it appears the walleye heave started their spawning run and allot of smaller males are being caught on Lucky Craft Pointers and Wiggle Warts. Look for the fish to be stacked up in slack water areas and deeper pools near channel swings, bigger females are also in these pools and can be caught early and late in the lower light times of the day. Bass can be caught on Eakins' jigs or tubes in PB&J or green pumpkin fished on channel swing banks with wood or rock cover.
