Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Bull Shoals 08/14/05:

Dam area to Lead Hill: Early and late your best bet is a top water fished on main lake and secondary points, sammys, spooks and skitter pops account for most of the strikes. When the sun comes up move out to deep channel swings, drops and humps and fish drop shots and spoons in and around schools of shad. Needle worms and drop shot worms in sand or watermelon are your best baits on the drop shot rig.

Lead Hill to Power site: Just like near the dam the upper end of the lake has a pretty good top water bite early and late. A spook, Sammy or even a buzz bait will produce several strikes before the sun gets to high in the sky. Once the sun gets up move out to deep points and drag a Jewel football or spider jig in PB&J across the point until you find the depth holding fish then concentrate on that depth.
