Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Bull Shoals 10/05/05:

Dam area to Lead Hill: The best bite continues to be on a Jewel spider jigs and small tubes fished on pea gravel / chunk rock mixed flats. The fish seem to be holding close to the areas where the two materials come together, 6’ deep in the morning and moving deeper as the day wears on. Drag either bait slowly across these flats paying close attention to any where the bait hangs up and needs to be “popped” free, many times this is when you will get bit.

Lead Hill to Power site: If it’s cloudy and or windy wake a spinnerbait or throw a buzzbait on pea gravel main lake flats early in the day. The fish won’t be huge but they hit the bait like a ton of bricks. As the day progresses move to deeper chunk rock mix points and throw a PB&J Eakins’ jig with a green pumpkin Eakins’ craw trailer from 6’ – 20’ deep.
