Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Bull Shoals 11/05/05:
Dam area to Lead Hill: Not allot of change over the past week,
fish secondary points and roll offs with a variety of bottom hugging baits
and you will be successful. Jewel spider jigs and football jigs have been
very effective in both PB&J and Green pumpkin / green flash both matched
up with a green pumpkin jig trailer; let the depth and amount of wind you
are fishing in determine the weight you are throwing. There are some roaming
schools of Kentuckies following shad around the lake, for the most part they
will be holding pretty tight to bluff ends and other points and can be caught
on spoons and drop shot worms.
Lead Hill to Power site: Look for most of the fish to be up onto flats early
and late, they are active and feeding on shad until the sun comes up over
the tree line so make the most of the low light hours with either a rattle
trap, a Lucky Craft RC 1.5 or a Jewel keel banger buzz bait in white. After
the sun is up the fish will move into the closest deep water and can be caught
on Eakins’ jigs in PB&J or Missouri Craw with a green pumpkin trailer.
