Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Bull Shoals 1/2/05:
Dam area to Lead Hill: Jewel 5/16oz. and 7/16oz Spider jigs
in both PB&J and green pumpkin / green flash with a twin tailed grub
for a trailer have resulted in a few smallmouth as well as the occasional
walleye,
fish deep channel swings and ledges slowly to be successful. The most consistent
pattern is still deep, white or chrome spoons and drop shot rigs fished
in and around schools of shad in anywhere from 40' - 90' on channel swings
and
bluff ends.
Lead Hill to Power site: The warmer weather has resulted in
a few fish being caught on wiggle warts and bandit 200 series crankbaits,
the best colors are
brown craw and phantom green. Parallel windy chunk rock banks keeping your
bait between 5' & 10' of water. In addition there is a pretty good jig
bite around boat docks when the sun is shinning, fish an Eakins' jig in PB&J
with a twin tail grub in and around any shade produced by the docks.
