Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Bull Shoals 1/21/05:

Dam area to Lead Hill: The deep bite has been a little harder to find this week, there are still a few fish being caught on white spoons and drop shot finesse worms, look for schools of shad on bluff ends and channel swings from 45' - 75' deep. When the wind is blowing move into the major creek arms and fish channel swing banks and transition areas with an Eakins' jig in PB&J with a Yamamoto Cinnamon Purple twin tailed grub for a trailer. Fish slowly and pay close attention to any large rocks or wood cover you come across.

Lead Hill to Power site: The current is still pretty strong in the upper end of the lake and this is keeping the main lake fish active, the best bite is an Eakins' jig or Jewel 5/8 oz. football jig fished on the current break side of main lake points and bluff ends. Deeper water close by will increase your odds of catching fish, regardless you need to fish both baits slowly and pay close attention.
