Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 02/10/05:
Pomme has come down quite a bit and is slowly clearing. The best
bite is wherever you can find clearer water, look in the backs of major
creeks and up the river to find the clearest water. Fish these areas with an
Eakins' jig and Yamamoto twin tail grub combo, let the water color determine
the color jig you throw, the more stained the water the darker color jig you
throw. There are still a few fish being caught on the main lake but you need
to fish very slowly, do not expect many bites until the water warms up and
clears up.
Crappie are tough as well try live minnows over brush in 20' - 35' of water.
