Lake - Pomme De Terre 02/19/05:

Pomme continues to improve; the bite is still pretty slow but you can catch a few fish on both an Eakins jig and on a Lucky Craft pointer. Fish the jig on channel swing banks and points toward the back of major creek arms, the best color has been brown with a brown or green pork chunk for a trailer. On windy days move to steeper chunk rock points and fish from the bank all the way out to 20' deep. Sunny points seem to be more productive because the water is a little warmer and you will need to adjust your retrieve as the day goes on, start with a long pause and shorten it as the day progresses.

Crappie are getting better as well, most are still being caught on live minnows in 15' - 20' over wood cover.
