Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 03/12/05:
The jerkbait bite continues to be good on Pomme. Look for fish
to be on rocky points and banks in 6' - 12' of water, fish the bait with 3
- 8 second pauses between jerks when the wind is blowing and a 5 - 15 second
pauses when it is not. Best colors are American shad, Nishiki and chanteuse
shad in Lucky Craft pointers and chrome orange belly in rogues. There are a
few fish being caught on Eakins' jigs on bluff end banks and deep cuts near
the dam, brown / purple flash with a green pumpkin Yamamoto twin tail grub
seems to be your best bait.
Crappie are being caught in 10' - 15' deep with 2" grubs,
swimmin' minnows and live minnows.
