Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 03/26/05:

Most of the fish are still being caught 2' - 8' deep on wiggle warts and bandits, jerkbaits and Eakins' jigs. Best color in crankbaits is a brown craw, Lucky Craft jerkbaits in American Shad or Nishiki and Eakins' jigs in brown and brown / purple flash with a Yamamoto twin tailed grub. Most of the fish are on main lake points or the first couple of secondary points in a creek or large cove. Chunk rock gravel mix seems to be holding most of the fish.

Crappie are good one day and bad another, no one seems to be staying on them right now, try 12' - 18' deep with live minnow and 2" grubs or squirts over timer and brush.
