Lake - Pomme De Terre 04/11/05:

Spinnerbaits have really started to come on strong on Pomme, you can still catch fish on bandit or wiggle wart crankbait, but a white / chartreuse Jewel Rush Tandem spinnerbait worked close to wood cover or in shallow wind blown pockets will produce more bites and fewer hang ups. The fish are staging and can be found adjacent to spawning pockets and coves close to deep water. On calm days an Eakins' jig in brown or black / blue flash in the dirtier water is hard to beat. Fish the jig with a Yamamoto twin tail grub in and around wood cover.

Crappie are pretty good right now on squirts, 2" grubs and live minnows over brush piles in 10' - 15'.
