Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 04/23/05:

The fish have really started to move up and spawn, there are allot of males in shallow water and most are guarding their nests. A white tube, white Eakins' craw or a lizard are all good choices for sight fishing. Pre and Post spawn fish can be caught on Eakins' jigs, Carolina rigged lizards and french fries or drop shotted finesse worms are all effective on pea gravel points adjacent to spawning cuts and pockets.

Crappie are still good with most of the fish either suspended in trees 10' - 15' deep or moved up on spawning beds 2' - 6' deep. Either way 2" grubs and tubes on 1/8 oz or 1/16oz hears are very effective.
