Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 05/07/05:

The best bite on Pomme continues to be with an Eakins' jig matched up with a Chomper 4" jig trailer. In the clearer water near the dam I recommend PB&J with a matching PB&J Chomper 4" jig trailer, as you get into the dirtier water up the river switch to a brown / purple flash Eakins' jig with a green pumpkin Chomper. Most of the fish are not far off the bank and will be holding to some type of cover either wood or rock, naturally they will holding tighter to cover on sunny days. Early and late there is also a fluke bite in deeper pockets near the dam.

Crappie have been hit or miss but should be getting better this week with warming temps, live minnows, 2" grubs and 2" swimming minnows have all been producing.
