Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 05/20/05:

The river bite is getting pretty hot right now, Buzz baits and top waters are working early near channel swings, as the day progresses switch to an Eakins' jig in black / blue flash with a black / blue fleck Chomper jig trailer and fish the log jams and current breaks. On the main lake Carolina rigged lizards, french fries and brush hogs continue to catch most of the fish. Look for the fish to be on pea gravel points and flats near deeper water.

The crappie bite has gotten better, 2" grubs, squirts and live minnows in and around wood cover close to spawning areas seems to be the most consistent pattern.
