Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 07/04/05:

Most of the fish we are catching on the main lake right now are on a carolina rigged Chompers salty sinker in green pumpkin or on a Jewel 5/8 oz. football jig in Missouri craw with a 5" Chompers jig trailer. Fish both of the baits on points and flats that drop into a creek or river channel, early and late the fish will be as shallow as 3' deep but as the sun comes up they will move out to 20' or deeper. In the river most of the fish are coming on 6" blue fleck power worms fished near any cover that breaks the river's current.

Crappie continue to be suspended in timber or brush 20' or deeper, best bait has been live minnows.
