Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Pomme De Terre 07/14/05:

Night fishing has been much better on Pomme this week than fishing in the sun. Black and blue Eakins' jigs with a Chomper 4" jig trailer have been very effective on ledges and deep brush piles around the dam area. If you would rather fish in the daytime fish flats and deep points early with a sammy or spook and then change up to a 5/8 oz. Jewel football jig in Texas craw with a green pumpkin Chomper Jig trailer and drag the areas where the flat drops into the river or creek channel. Up the river there is a flippin' bite with both Eakins' jigs and power worms on both standing timber and log jams.

About the only way to catch crappie right now is with live minnows fished deep over wood.
