Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 07/31/05:
The river bite continues to be your best bet, early in the
morning a Sammy or spook will get a few bites around standing timber and
as the day goes on change up to an Eakins’ jig in brown with a green
pumpkin trailer or an eight inch blue fleck power worm. I have also been
catching a few fish on a weightless green pumpkin salty sinker fish around
lay downs and log jams. The main lake bite continues to be tough with most
of the fish being caught Carolina rigged lizards and salty sinkers off main
lake points and flats.
Crappie fishing is best done at night under floating lights with live minnows.
