Your best bet is still fishing deeper brush piles and drops with an Eakins’ jig in Texas craw with a green pumpkin Eakins’ craw or a 7” Culprit red shad worm on the main lake. Up the river there is a pretty decent flippin’ bite on a black / blue flash Eakins’ flippin jig or a 7” purple power worm,. The key is to make a pitch to every piece of wood you see.

Crappie are still being caught at night under the lights or in deep brush during the day time, both on live minnows.
