Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 10/07/05:
The cooler weather has turned on the fish up the river a
little more than on the main lake. There is definitely a buzzbait, spinnerbait
and rattle trap pattern up the river on channel bend banks with shad on them.
Watch for fish busting and chasing shad and make long casts with any of the
above mentioned baits to be successful. If the reaction bite slows switch
over to a 7” red shad power worm or a black / blue flash Eakins’ jig
and make multiple pitches to the wood cover closest to the river channel.
Crappie are still holding on wood cover and can be caught on live minnows
and squirts fished 12’ – 20’ deep.
