Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 11/28/05:
The cooler weather has really moved the shad toward the backs
of creek arms and pockets through out the lake. Lucky Craft R.C. 1.5 and
other shallow crankbaits rattle traps, Jewel spinnerbaits and buzzbaits have
all been producing fish in and around the schools of shad. On the main lake
there are still some fish in the deep brush piles that can be caught on a
Jewel 5/8 oz. football jig in Missouri craw with a 5 Chomper jig trailer.
The river bite has been good on some days and tough on others, try rattle
traps and Jewel spinnerbaits in the deeper channel swing banks holding shad.
Crappie fishing is still very good; most of the fish are coming over brush
piles 15’ – 25’ deep on live minnows and 2” grubs
and squirts.
