Missouri Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Pomme De Terre 12/10/05:
The river bite continues to be tough and there is actually
quite a bit of ice along the banks and rings on the trees. The better bite
is on the main lake in the deep brush pile and on bluff ends. An Eakins’ jig,
Jewel football jig or a tube fished in brush on steeper banks out to 25’ deep
has been the most effective bite recently. If the wind is blowing throw a
Norman deep little N or wiggle wart on 45 degree chunk rock banks and mixed
rock points, most of the fish will be on the windy side of cover and points
waiting to ambush bait this time of year.
Crappie fishing has slowed a little live minnows and silver/white squirts
have been effective over wood 20’ deep.
