Missouri Lakes Fishing Report

Lake - Stockton 02/19/05:

Main Lake: Best bite on the main lake is a Lucky Craft pointer in Nishiki or Table Rock shad. Fish this bait on main lake and secondary deep points, if you have wind the fish will move up shallow if it is calm you will need to slow the bait down and pause about 15 - 20 seconds between twitches. You can also catch quite a few fish on an Eakins jig in brown / purple flash with a green pumpkin Yamamoto twin tail grub on bluff ends, fish slowly from the bank to about 25' deep.

Above the bridges: The river bite continues to improve, the best bite has been an Eakins Flippin jig in black / blue flash with a pork chunk as a trailer. Fish the jig in and around any wood cover you find on channel swing banks both on the main river and in creek arms. In addition a few fish are being caught on Yamamoto creatures, black and blue has been the best color, fish it in the same areas as the jig with as light of a weight as possible.

Crappie can be caught in 15- 20- on live minnow, swimmin minnow and 2" white grubs in and around standing timber.
