Arkansas Lakes Fishing Report
Lake - Bull Shoals 02/05/06:
Dam area to Lead Hill: Look for schools of shad in order to
be successful in the lower lake. Spoons, drop shots and grubs are all producing
fish daily but you must find the bait to be effective. A few fish can be
taken on transition banks in the major creek arms of the lake, look for those
areas where the rock changes from boulder down to chunk rock and fish an
Eakins’ jig in PB&J or brown / purple flash with a green pumpkin
Chomper jig trailer from the bank down to 20’ deep.
Lead Hill to Power site: Still a pretty strong stick bait bite up the river
with a mixed bag of fish being caught from K – dock on up. Both Lucky
Craft Pointers and Smithwick Rogues have been effective in chrome / black,
clown, American Shad, and chartreuse shad. Look for isolated piece of cover
on flat banks near deep water to be the most effective areas.
