Report compiled by Bryan Bochert, guide, and the gang at TMR 417 273 4444

This past week we had several windy days which pushed the shad up into Shallow water.

Bass were biting rogues, lipless crankbaits, spinnerbaits and topwater. They were in 10ft. of water or less along creek channels and on scattered wood. The night bite has improved a little bit. Bluff banks at the mouths of coves and creek arms fished with a salty craw or single spin spinnerbait was working well.

Walleye are around main lake humps and suspended over deep trees. Troll crankbaits at 30-60 ft. or a drag a worm harness that has a large purple or orange blade.

Crappie remain suspended around brushpiles in deep water or scattered along bluff banks where shad are present. A chartreuse and orange tube jig caught some nice fish.

Sunday morning Marvin Brown of Theodosia landed a 40lb. 14oz. flathead catfish. Set your trotlines deep and use live and fresh cut fish for bait. Creek channel banks in coves and creek arms have been productive.

The water temperature remains in the 80's. and visibility in the Theodosia area is fairly clear on the main lake and stained to muddy in the back of a few coves and creek arms.

Remember to keep only what you can eat and release the rest for another day. Rick Culver of Wilderness Trail does the research for this report and the writing of this report.
