Hi folks! This is Ron Schneider with this week’s fishing report.
Both lakes have dropped slightly this week, water temperature has dropped
to the low 80’s.
On Bull Shoals, Wilderness Trail reports a little better Bass action.
They are close to the banks in the mornings and hitting Spook Jr’s
or Lucky Craft Sammys. There is also good action with jigging spoons
in the 35’ range.
Walleye action is good and
they have been feeding during mid day on main lake flats and points.
They are in depths from 32’ to 45’ and being caught trolling
with lead core line and smaller crankbaits, also flatlines with deep
divers like Deep Tail Dancers or Norman DD22’s.
On Lake Norfork , the Striper
action remains good. They are being caught trolling at 40’ down
over deep water in the dam area. Best baits have been the Storm or Berkley
Swimbaits in Shad colors. Also, jigging spoons are connecting at the
40’ to 50’ range on ledges and points. Best colors have
been white or silver.
Walleye action is also good
in the dam area, with jigging spoons like the Bink’s spoon working
best. White/green back is a new hot color. And crawler harness rigs
are working well in the mid lake area, try around Robinson Point .
Bass action is fair at night,
8” or 10” worms in red/gold flake are the baits to try.
Bluegill action remains hot,
try 15’ to 25’ deep, and Crickets are the best bait.
Until next week, this is Ron Schneider wishing you Peace
and good fishing!
Remember to keep only what
you can eat and release the rest for another day. Rick Culver of Wilderness
