The fishing has begun to pick up. There has been a little topwater action in the rivers

The best lure selection appears to be ZARA SPOOKS and the DEVIL HORSE. Black bass are bedding and have been caught on lizards. ZOOM lizards in pumpkinseed and watermelon seed fished on a Carolina Rig is recommended.

Crappie are suspended in the submerged trees and biting well on minnows and small jigs. Walleye are biting "hot'n'tots" trolled on the main lake flats . Try going deeper during the day with the new deep diving hot n tots. Silver and white are the colors of choice.

Catfish are being caught on cut bait and live minnows and small shad. The best time to catfish is just before dusk.
