Trout fishing has remained really good over
the last month. We are experiencing mostly low water (no generation) in
the mornings with pretty strong generation in the afternoons.
We are mostly bait fishing in the mornings anchoring up
on the deeper holes fishing with wax worms and marshmallows, corn, power
eggs, and nightcrawlers.
In the afternoons with the water higher we are drifting
along the banks fishing crank baits like countdowns, shadraps, rogues,
reber crawfish, etc... working them very erratic varying the retrieve
for a lot of motion.
Fly fishing is fair in the mornings during low water periods with sowbugs,
woolybuggers, redass, and brassy working well.
