Channel catfishing still is top for good fishing.
The channel catfish are moving to the rocks and are hitting under bobbers
very early and
late. During the day when they move from the banks they are being caught
bottom bouncing in the deeper water. The lake level dropped a few inches
and moved some of the fish farther out. They will move to the banks
quickly to spawn over the next few days.
Bluegill is very good. Crickets
and redworms under bobbers are catching well. Mepps Spin Flies have also
been excellent for casting to the fish. Sauger and whitebass are slow.
Largemouth has been good now for several weeks. The largemouth are being
taken is shallow water near the brush. Shallow running crankbaits as
well as plastic jerkbaits. Some topwater action as been reported. Over
all fishing has been good and will get better this next week with the
full moon.
TIP: If you keep fishing the same way you will get the same results
