Norfork Lake Arkansas fishing reports

03/27/06:

The cool weather this week slowed things down,the water temperture dropped from 52 to 48.The lake has come up about 3ft.We're still 9ft.below normal pool at 552.The water is stained in the back of the creeks.

Largemouth have been hitting crankbaits,stickbaits and siwmbaits,while the smallmouth are a little deeper but find windy banks they are close to the bank.

The stripers are hitting swimbaits and stickbaits also.Look on the flats and channelswing ends in the creeks morning and night bite.Don't be surprised if you catch a walleye.

The whites are in the creeks suspended about 30ft,try spooning.

As for the crappie bite they're staging out on the flats waiting for the right temp to move up(53-57) is the magic number,according to Harvey Hall of Hard Times Guide Service.
