Bass: the bass are moving to deeper water now with the water temp's
entering the mid 70's. The most productive method is using a top water
Sammy or Spook early in am. Bass are being caught near mail lakes points
and also on secondary points. There also have been some nice sized
Black's caught late in the afternoon around dark using Red w/gold or
silver flake 8" larew worms rigged texas style. War Eagle Spinners dark
colors...Gitzits have also done nicely.
Crappie: the bit has slowed a little. Still some good size ones being
caught in 25 to 35 foot of water around the brush piles. Minnows are the
easiest to use. Binks Crappie spoons are beginning to do the job, too.
However, there are still some crappies being caught on Zig Jigs, Norfork
Lake Crappie Jigs, and Bobby Garland Swimming Minnows.
Stripers: Early in the am and late in the afternoon. They are schooling
around Robinson, Float Creek, Bennetts and Jordan areas early in the am.
But are not staying up long and only comming up in singles...Spooks are
doing well on top when they come up. Binks Spoons in the 1oz and 3/4 oz
are staring to do the job in about 45 to 70 foot.
Whites and Hybrids are best caught early in the am and late in the
afteroon. Good baits have been Kastmasters, Rooster Tails, Spooks, Swim
Shad and rattle traps. they are mixed in with the strippers so once you
Find the singles popping up around the lake, get ready to catch a few
whites and hybrds...
Bream: good numbers of bream are being caught on Crickets and Red Worms
up on the bank and in about 15 foot of water.
Walleye: Trolling has been the most productive for Wally's. Using
Hot-n-Tots, Rapala X-raps, Wally Divers, Crawler Harnesses...Some good
reports have started comming in for folks catching them on Lindy's
Munchies, too.
Catfish: best methods have been jug's with large shinners or liver.
