BASS: the water is warming up and the bass are
going deeper. Best times
are early in the am or late afternooon and into the evening...Early am and
late afternoon you can still catch a few bass on topwaters. Good baits
for topwater are Spooks, Sammys and Pop-R's. Spinner baits are wokring ok
too. The night bite is doing well now. Good baits have been 8" Larew
worms red with Gold or Red with Silver flake. ALso, the large 11" Larew
worms have done well recently too.
Striper: early in the am and late in the pm on
top water. Using Spooks,
Sammy's, Red Fins...around mid am go to a spoon, Binks Pro Series soons
work veyr well on Stripers in 30 to 60 ft deep....
Walleye: Doing well with Wally's. Spoons, Binks
Spoons, are doing well
and limits of nice sized walleyes are being caught in the 30 ft range.
Also, trolling with Hot-n-Tots, Reef Runners and Rapala Glass Shad Raps.
Live bait such as Leeches and Night Crawlers are also doing well.
Crappie: The Crappies are in deeper water now
and in the middle of the
brush piles. The best bait has been minnows fished directly in the brush
piles.
Bream: Nice sized bream are being caught on Crickets
and Red worms in
about 10 to 15 ft of water.
